Ignorance,
A lack of knowledge.
And then bliss,
Extreme happiness.
“Ignorance is bliss,” they say,
Ignoring the bad can displace it.
I’d edit the phrase, myself,
“Ignorance, a cheap fix.”
Progress,
It’s a good thing.
Progress,
Requires knowledge.
Leisure,
Marvelous, but just short-term.
Surely,
Practicality’s better.
Let’s strive more so for knowledge than for leisure,
Knowing aides not just you, but us all.
Enlightenment inevitably brings bliss,
And after all, bliss is still our goal.
